About Ashley M.N.

You can call me Ashley, Ashley M.N., or Ashley Many-Named. Or just Amen (AH-men), since my acronym sounds very much like it! For reasons specific to my destiny, I acquire a new name - through initiation, ceremony or some other ritualized rebirth - at various points in my journey. And as my spirit uses this path to express itself, I’ve found more and more joy using my work to help others do the same.

More than I could have ever imagined.

From a young age, I was taught how to use water, plants and the spoken word as spiritual tools. Studying under the auspices of Ifa as an aborisa - as well as learning conjure the way that my ancestors would have worked it - helped me to successfully integrate and expand upon the wisdom that was steadily passed on to me.

It is my goal to help others claim or reclaim internal power and autonomy, spiritual authority, and peace of mind. Spiritual development is both an art and a science; as a spiritual consultant, I aim to hold space for you as you come to master this for yourself. As a spiritual craftsman, I make resources and tools available - including those that are custom or hand-made.

My consultation books are currently open to new clients; simply scroll down to request a consultation with me. Established clients can simply message me until I make changes to the Client Portal. Please note that I am an LGBTQIA-friendly advisor and consultant, and I am working towards increasing other levels of service accessibility.

Ever Forward,
Ashley M.N.

P.S.: check out my Ko-Fi, where I’ve shared public prayers and affirmations.

P.P.S.: I currently make myself available to do public events. Contact me if you’d like to for me to present/teach at one of your events!

What Do You Mean By Spiritual Consultant?

I use the term “spiritual consultant” as a catch-all for the role that I often play when working with individual clients: diviner, mirror-holder, medium, spiritual mediator, rootworker, numerologist. Most comprehensively, I help others address flow - of time, communication, energy, creativity, money, etc. - and any challenges related to them.

And while I do possess the "clairs" (clairvoyance, etc.), I’m not a traditional psychic: the skillset that I sharpened is highly shamanic in nature, because spiritual problem-solving is my joy and wheelhouse. Will I see one of your ancestors or get a vision during our consult? Possibly. But they often come through to help with spiritual problem-solving or give more context, especially where intergenerational wounds are concerned. That, and I'm fun at parties.

What Are Your Spiritual Traditions?

My childhood and adolescent spiritual foundation is Christianity, with substantial Sufi influence as a result of my family’s investment in my spiritual education and broadening horizons. I was taught speech-as-power, water- and rootwork by a maternal relative at an early age, then learned energy manipulation through sound. By my teenage years, I was intentionally working with various states of consciousness.

This, combined with a deepening investment in the legacy left by the healers, wonder-workers and other spiritually-skilled members of my bloodline, slowly developed into a complete return to my ancestral traditions of ancestor veneration and conjure. My ancestral training as a root doctor led to my being acknowledged as such in 2022, thus opening the doors to even more capacity and license to help others. What’s been borne of this is a powerfully well-integrated spiritual practice that keeps me in tune with nature.

I learned a lot but had to focus on becoming an expert at a select few things, you know?

Who Are Your Current Mentors?

At this precise moment in my path, I’m waiting to work with spiritual mentors with whom my spirit and values are highly aligned. I look forward to that next stage of my spiritual education, and give thanks for all who I have learned from along the way.

I cherish and give respect to all seasoned, kind, and thoughtful spiritual practitioners of high ethical and moral caliber - who understand the vast ranges and definitions of human ability, who advocate for queer liberation, who walk in the spirit of womanist values, and who are open to a mixed-discipline therapeutic approach (for example, the use of Western psychology and traditional African tech).

I honor and give respect to elders who work with the above kind of consciousness in their community care, and who subsequently take a grounded, clear and compassionate approach to being positioned as spiritual leaders in a capitalist-driven world.

How Long Have You Been Divining Professionally?

I began doing cartomancy for others in 2017, but didn’t go “pro” until a year later. After years of working with my own numbers and cowrie shells, I began to offer numerology and cowrie consultations in 2020.

In 2021, I learned how to use multiple 20-sided dice as a diagnostic tool, which I now do on a super limited basis given how multi-dimensional each toss has proven to be. But I still invite established clients who are curious about the experience to ask me about it!

What School of Numerology Do You Use?

I began with Pythagorean and New Western numerology. Due to the influence of my ancestral traditions, I found both to be limited in scope and depth, eventually developing a highly syncretic practice. To wit: I now use Chaldean conventions because they are closest to how numerology as a complete system would be practiced by my people.

The choice to go syncretic with my numerological practice allowed my spirits to give me several unprecedented ways to work with numeric messages, then a clear rapid-interpretation system that I use to this day and now teach others. Check my numerology tab for the associated post!

What Do You Teach? What Are Your Public-Facing Spiritual Modalities?

When speaking and working with the public, I generally utilize the language, technology and wisdom of my Black Diasporic ancestors as a whole, as well as numerological thinking.

I advocate for and teach spiritual empowerment through the intentional and conscientious use of speech as a spiritual tool; ritual and ritual construction; harnessing elemental forces; transmutation and release of bodily-held energies; and working in co-creation with animal and plant spirits. To name a few of the topics that I cover!

In addition to the above, you’ll find me encouraging others to get into right and healthy relationship with Spirit. Pretty often, actually. When I speak of Spirit, I often do so to refer to the host of spirits around you that are enthusiastically moving matter in your best interests. In truth, who is amongst that number can and does change, which I encourage people to welcome and prepare for.

You may also see me talking about the higher self, which is critical to my work with others. It should be noted that while it is my experience with Ori worship and appeasement in Ifa that led to my looking into higher self work as a skillset, the Ori complex and the higher self concept are two separate constructs. To learn about and work with the Ori complex - which has its own distinct medicines, appeasements, etc. - please seek an Iyanifa or Babalawo of outstanding and gentle character.

What Kinds of Consultations Are Available?

I’m available to the public for the following:

Baltimore/DMV special rate: $75/hr for all hour-long consultations

General Spiritual Consultation

$130, 1 hour each (initial)

Single-subject consult fees vary

I utilize a combination of ancestral, divinatory and numerological tools to help you take a holistic approach to problem-solving, personal development, spiritual wellness, and self-improvement. I prioritize the developmental and transformative emphasis.

Numerological Consultation

$110, 1 hour each (initial)

Single-subject consult fees vary

I utilize Western and Chaldean numerological conventions to assess and help you to harness the energy that you incarnated with (natal chart). We go over major subjects such as your soul’s urge, your personality and how others receive you, and your destiny - as well as the many paths to its achievement.

Numeric Dice Readings

$130, 1 hour each (initial)

I use up to 9 20-sided dice to pull down a working multdimensional reading of your life’s circumstances, discern challenges, and provide remediation for any tension or challenges presented therein. I carefully assess the placement and direction of each die, as well as any intuitively-acquired information that is transmitted after casting the dice.

What Are Your Consultations Like?

Each consultation is opened with prayer and thanksgiving, especially to each person’s higher self. This is true even when strictly using numerology as the divinatory tool.

I encourage my clients to take notes, and hold space for them to ask ample questions after divination and live interpretation have been completed.

In the tradition of the divining ancestors who came before me, I do not conclude a consultation until the client has a prescription or action plan in-hand to appropriately bear, release, or mitigate what we reveal.
